The system is designed around a 90 psi (6.3 kg/ cm2) high-density polystyrene foam area panel with a bonded 24 ga. aluminum sheet on the top. The foam provides thermal insulation underneath the panel while the aluminum provides also heat circulation concentrated right during the finished floor product. The reduced profile with this item permits effortless retrofit additionally the light-weight makes it easy to utilize in brand new building. The 2' x 4' (61 cm x 122 cm) field panels make installation faster than many other offered services and products. The area panels have tracks that enable the tubing to-be snapped in (no glue is needed) on either 6" (15.25 cm) or 12" (30.5 cm) centers. Radius panels for return bends and double pipe transition panels, to route tubing to your heated location, are included with every box for the Floor Panel program. Additional radius panels can be found separately, if needed. A floor Panel program for 3/8" PEX tubing is 3/4" (1.9 cm) dense and offers an approximate downward insulation worth of R=3.7. The Floor Panel System for 1/2" PEX tubing is 1" (2.5 cm) and provides an approximate downward insulation worth of R=4.5. The full-face aluminum sheet on area panel provides heating qualities comparable to a lightweight tangible overpour, but at lower fluid conditions in accordance with quicker pick-up times
